Medium

Here is a selection of pieces I have published on Medium.com.

Medium.com is an open digital publishing platform with over 170 million readers. Material published on Medium is intended for an audience seeking insightful and dynamic thinking on a vast array of topics. The aim and purpose of the platform is to spread the scope of ideas from a variety of perspectives to deepen our understanding of a complex world.

I write Bay Area specific articles for The Bold Italic, a New Journalism arts & culture magazine based in San Francisco and published via Medium.com.

Founded in 2009, as a collaboration between design firm IDEO and media company Gannett, the magazine was sold to local owners in 2015. In 2019 the magazine was acquired by Medium.com. The Bold Italic has been a Webby honoree, an IDSA (Industrial Designers Society of America) finalist and was named best webzine by SF Weekly.

In this section, I have included two essays for The Bold Italic that can be accessed through the drop-down menu or from the links provided below. These articles also appeared in Disclaimer Magazine – London.
